Account & Data Deletion
You have the right to delete your Daily Murder account and all data associated with it at any time.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account profile (email, display name, provider links)
- All solve history and streak records
- Any saved in-progress puzzle state
- Purchase entitlement records
- Achievement and leaderboard entries
Local data stored on your device (browser storage or app storage) is not affected by a server-side deletion. To clear local data, uninstall the app or clear your browser data.
How to Delete Your Account
Self-service (instant): Open the app or website → Settings → Account → Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes all your data from our servers.
By email: If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] with the subject line "Daily Murder Account Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your account. We will confirm deletion within 7 days.
Before You Delete
- Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your streaks, solve history, and achievements cannot be recovered.
- If you purchased the Detective's Pass, your purchase record with Google Play is separate from our records. Deleting your Daily Murder account does not trigger a refund. Contact Google Play support for purchase-related enquiries.
- You can continue playing anonymously after deletion — you simply lose cross-device sync and your historical data.
